Financing strategy

Sparebanken Vest issues senior, senior non-preferred, subordinated, and AT1 securities in both public and private placement issue format. The bank issues covered bonds through its 100%-owned daughter company, Sparebanken Vest Boligkreditt AS. The bank also has a Green Bond Framework under which all formats of bond obligations can be issued.

The bank’s primary markets for bond issuances are the Norwegian Kroner market, Euro market, and Swedish Kroner market. The bank is a well-established and frequent bond issuer in all of these markets. The bank has flexibility to issue in these markets and cultivates a large and diverse investor base. The size, timing, currency, structure, and tenor of the bank’s market financing is driven by the banks overall liquidity strategy and can be adjusted to reflect the bank’s needs and market conditions.

In the Norwegian bond market, loan agreements outline the bank’s obligations in connection with the issuance of senior, senior non-preferred, subordinate, and AT1 securities. The loan agreements for the bank’s Norwegian security issues can be obtained from Nordic Trustee or on the issuer’s website. In foreign currencies, the bank typically issues its securities under one of its public bond issue EMTN programmes.
